Meet Us
Let us tell you a little more about who’s behind Markits.
We like to keep things personal, hands-on, and focused on doing great work. We're people who genuinely care about the spaces we help create and look after.
Meet Mark Denton....

Mark has years of experience in the lettings industry – both commercial and residential. We don’t know exactly how many years, as Mark will not reveal his actual age.
He has built strong relationships with many agents, landlords, tenants and investors, helping our clients build their portfolios and secure dwellings that suit their requirements.
Mark is very proud to be slightly different to most, insisting on carrying out all research, viewings, feedback, and purchase negotiations himself, tailored to each client’s needs.
As a family business, we believe working with a small number of clients who share a similar vision and mindset is the best way. Property – whether to buy or to let – can be an expensive and stressful process, so we believe direct contact with our director (with years of experience – how many exactly??? We still don’t know 🤷🏼♂️) is where we stand out.
Over Mark’s time in the industry, he has supported landlords in growing their portfolios from single properties to, in some cases, over 40. This has been achieved through thorough research and ensuring every purchase is made at the right price.
...and Kit Ahweyevu

Kit has years of experience helping clients grow businesses, manage complex projects, and figure out the messy bits in between. She’s been hands-on since the age of 13, when she first picked up a paintbrush and she’s got a real knack for keeping things running smoothly - just don'[t ask her to mow a lawn!
She looks after planning, operations, and property management, working closely with Mark to keep things ticking along. Clients often say she “thinks differently to everyone else,” and she likes connecting the dots between someone’s big idea and the quiet details that make it all work.
Kit enjoys getting to know people properly – she loves to talk with people to understand and build out their visions. And while most people avoid contracts like the plague, Kit genuinely enjoys digging into the fine print – preferably with a printout and a red gel pen in hand.
She likes to focus on what needs to happen when. If something’s falling between the cracks, she’s probably already spotted it and sorted it.
When she’s not working, you’ll find Kit on the rugby pitch – muddy, happy, and exactly where she wants to be.
